Construction Supervisor

Construction Supervisor (Railway) - Huddersfield - Up to £280 per day

A Train Operating Company (TOC) are looking to recruit a Construction Supervisor with Railway experience, to oversee the redevelopment and upgrade to a railway station and support the delivery on site, to ensure best customer service, operational and financially efficient outputs.

Qualifications

  • Good understanding of railway infrastructure, operations, and Network Rail organisational delivery and previous experience of managing rail industry performance.
  • Good understanding of construction requirements, particularly on railway infrastructure.
  • A proven track record in significant customer experience, operations, or project leadership role.
  • Understanding of NEC contracts
  • Producing clear and concise operating instructions.
  • Excellent facilitation, interpersonal skills, diplomacy, tenacity, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Scope of the job: –

  • You will be a critical interface at the station, supporting Network Rail and station operational staff to deliver essential tasks alongside one another, without disruption to daily planned service delivery and performance.
  • To provide an on-site contact and support to Project Delivery teams to ensure effective delivery of safety, the daily planned service, customer movement, and interfacing project deliverables as required, examples including managing handover and hand backs to ensure quality has been met, and any snagging items are rectified as soon as possible, with the situation suitably managed in the interim.
  • The role will mainly be day shifts, with the occasional weekend work required.

Experience required: –
