Sales Engineer

Sales Engineer - Milton Keynes - Up to £40,000 plus bonus 

Our client is a leading independent supplier of Power Protection equipment including UPS, Chargers, Battery Packs, Generators etc. who due to expansion are looking to recruit a Sales Engineer.

Personal Profile

  • Capable of working on own initiative with minimal supervision 
  • Confident outgoing person
  • Have a high standard of personal integrity
  • Organized individual with good communications skills.
  • Successful candidates will be required to successfully complete DBS and BPSS security checks

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Our client is looking for a Sales Engineer to assist with all aspects of sales and lead generation, to find opportunities for growth within targeted industrial sectors, and maintain relationships with key accounts.
  • Report to Sales Manager to produce commercial and technical proposals in response to customer enquiries.
  • To discover new opportunities and contacts in targeted market sectors –
  • There will be a bias to building contacts and projects within the Marine industry.
  • Follow up quotations and close business.
  • Establishing productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
  • Involvement in research and development and marketing
  • Monitor and interact with tendering portals and report on opportunities that are of interest.
  • Attend meetings with the customer at their site or offices across the UK. Skills, knowledge, and experience
  • Excellent communicator at all levels to negotiate best outcomes for the company
  • Must be able to work individually whilst being a member of a small team.
  • Tasks and priorities are allocated by the Sales Manager
  • Weekly liaison occurs with other members of the Company
  • Experience is a previous sales position is preferable
  • Knowledge and understanding of Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) would be beneficial.but not essential
  • Hold full UK Driver’s License.
